UndauntedK12 OpEd: Education and Climate Donors Should Join Forces to Develop Green Schools, Expand Climate Instruction

Today, the Chronicle of Philanthropy published our call to action for all grant makers in education and climate: Education and Climate Donors Should Join Forces to Develop Green Schools, Expand Climate Instruction.

In the piece, we lay out a new approach that moves us beyond the blueprints and siloes of the past.

We believe education grant makers must bring a climate lens to their work. Climate change threatens to widen educational inequities and has transformed the future for which we seek to prepare today’s young people.

For philanthropists focused on climate, we believe the K-12 sector can be a powerful showcase sector in the work to win over hearts and minds, create a workforce to power the green economy, and support an equitable transition to our zero carbon future.
