This week, The 74 Million published “Time for Massachusetts to Make All Schools, Green, Healthy and Carbon-Free,” an op-ed written by our co-founder Sara Ross and Jason Acosta Espinosa, a student at Dartmouth College and a former Massachusetts climate fellow at Our Climate.

For decades, Massachusetts has enjoyed its role as the nation’s education leader. But lawmakers can do more to put schools at the forefront of climate action. An essential first step was the passage of the Green and Healthy Schools provision that requires state agencies to assess the condition of Massachusetts school buildings and recommends standards to make them fossil fuel-free and healthy.
