Greenbrier County Schools (WV)
On October 4th, Greenbrier County Schools and CMTA held a ribbon cutting to celebrate GCS' installation of the largest district-owned solar array in West Virginia. The district completed this project, along with a ground-source heat pump HVAC in August. These efficient energy technologies are expected to generate $2 million in Elective Pay reimbursements. While the ground-source heat pumps were under construction, students toured the construction site and learned about energy systems from the construction team. Check out the video to hear learn about the project’s impact from one of their students.
